Caroling

In spite of the clean up required by the significant snowfall, some very hardy members shared the spirit of the season with a group of eagarly waiting residents of Blake Estates

Holiday Gathering

With the Bean and Cream once again providing the venue, FHNA members  met on December 12. The evening was also the final night to contribute to the Toys For Tots drive.

Meet and Greet the Mayoral Candidates

Thank you to the Bean and Cream for kindly providing the Fairmount Hill Neighborhood Association a gathering place to meet the mayoral hopefuls for both candidates. Congratulations to Mr. Walsh, the next mayor of Boston.

District 5 Candidate Debate

Tim McCarthy and Jean-Claude Sanon presented their thoughts and ideas on preselected questions. The informative meeting was well attended despite its competition from the Red Sox. Congratulations to Tim McCarthy who will be our next District 5 City Councillor.

Garden Contest Awards

At the September meeting, residents of the Fairmount Hill received their accolades and prizes for their contributions in beautifying our neighborhood.

Lewis Chemical

After decades of looking at an eyesore and guessing what may probably lay beneath the former plant, residents were happy to see the buildings of Lewis Chemical razed.

August Meeting

Our August meeting was well attended. Seven of the eight City Council Candidates attended our monthly meeting. Each presented a brief introduction on his/her background and qualifications. The candidates answered a set of previously set questions. The attendees had the opportunity to write questions and present pass them into the emcee. Many of the concerns and interests were addressed. Following the meeting, the candidates had a meet and greet on the front sidewalk of the Police Academy.

Neponset River Clean-up

Many of our members participated in the cleanup of riverbanks of the Neponset River behind the Martini Shell. Once again, a huge dent was made in removing the debris that has littered this beautiful natural resource. It was another successful effort. Many thanks to all who were able to attend.
